Handle the power plug of the gateway with care. In case of improper use, it the plug may break. A potential risk of electric shock may occur. In case of breakage, make sure to never touch open leads. Miromico does not assume any direct or indirect responsibility in case of improper use of the plug.

This is the documentation complies with firmware images with versions v1.0.x. For the newest versions, please see current version. Otherwise choose your firmware version on the bottom left of the page.

This pages will provide technical information for the miro Edge and also guides for the initial setup of the gateway. The following steps have to be performed to bring the gateway online and connect it with a LoRaWAN® network server (LNS):

  1. Register your gateway with an LNS

  2. Connect the gateway to the internet

2. Register your Gateway

By default your miro Edge gateway is configured to use the free european instance of LORIOT. To register the gateway at least a LORIOT community account is required. Please check the Getting Started guide from LORIOT to register. If you already have an account with LORIOT, follow the guide to register a new gateway with LORIOT.

3. Connecting the Gateway using Ethernet

To connect the miro Edge gateway to the internet over Ethernet, just plug the network cable to the Ethernet port of the gateway. Plug in the other side into a "internet-enabled" network. The network should provide access to the internet and also a DHCP server. UDP and TCP connections should be available to access the internet.

4. Connecting the Gateway using Mobile Network

The miro Edge gateway is available with an integrated mobile network card. The device can also be ordered with pre-installed SIM card. Please follow the guide relevant for your gateway type to establish an internet connect using a mobile network.

5. Gateway Configuration

miro Edge is providing a web frontend, in case the default configuration needs to be changed. Follow the configuration guide to change any settings, such as LoRaWAN® LNS and antenna setup.

6. Facory Reset

At the moment, the only way to trigger a complete factory reset is by updating the system via a USB stick. Please refer to the update guide.
